The Certification Log template is a special template used to create a database that keeps a record of the certified users of a Notes system.
If a system certifier chooses to create the log, each time he or she certifies a new user, a record of that person's certification is added to the database.

To The Certifier
Having a Certification Log is required if you want to use the Administration Process. As long as CERTLOG.NSF exists on the registration server, new registrations will be logged, and the Administration Process will be able to process new requests. To create one Certification Log for your organization, create replicas of the original Certification Log on all registration servers.
Access Control List:
The Access Control List (ACL) is set up so, that by default, the certifier whose ID is active when the log is created is defined as manager.
The default access is No Access.
The certifier maintains the ACL. He/she may change the default access or add additional managers.
About the Certification Log:
Read (and maybe print) this information. Replace the current contents with a paragraph or two that explains the purpose of this database, its audience, and how to contact the manager(s).

Using the Certification LogB
Be sure to update the Using Database document. It should give users specific information on the use of the database.

o Name, License and ID Number for the User
o Dates of Certification and Expiration
o Name, License and ID Number of the Certifier
Composing Documents
You cannot compose documents for this database. The documents are automatically created whenever a new user, server, or organization unit certifier is registered.
Views
By Certifier Name
- shows the certifier's name, user's name, license type (North American or International), and certification date, sorted and categorized by certifier name.
By User Name
- shows the user's name, license type, certification date, and name of certifier, sorted by user name.
By Expiration Date
- shows the expiration date, certifier's name, user's name, and license type, sorted and categorized by expiration date.
Update Status -
shows errors generated by Name change requests from the Administration Process.
